The focus of Songs of Grievance and Hope was to express how post-crash austerity was affecting individuals in very real and life altering ways.

Background
In 2013, I was commissioned by The Spectacle of Defiance and Hope to create a song cycle for theatre based on interviews with community projects from all over the city of Dublin.
The piece was staged by a group of performers form a variety of the projects, combined with a band of professional musicians.
